Hiii! I'm Alexandra. Nice to see you here!
I want to share a bit about my background and who I am.
I studied fashion and textile design in Belarus and worked as a fashion, textile, and print designer for four years. I started drawing in art school, and my university studies helped me shape my own visual language and style.
During my studies, my mum helped me knit pieces for my fashion collections — and that’s how both of these practices started to grow side by side. Today, they’ve evolved into two personal projects I run with care: meinekleinesketch — my space for addressing emotions and world matters in ironic manner through art; neuwegknit — a knitwear project focused on handicrafts.

About meinekleiensketch:
Through meinekleinesketch, I reflect everyday life experiences that are touching, annoying, or personally disturbing. I use gouache as my primary medium to explore overlooked aspects of mundane activities hidden behind laptop and phone screens. My work often carries a slightly ironic perspective on how we understand societal hierarchies, standards of beauty, and meaning. My interests include mental health, social relations, power dynamics, expressed through objects, phrases, and characters. I exclusively use a non-digital approach, as art practice for me becomes a way of being present, without relying on other mediums. Having fashion design background in Belarus shapes my vision, influencing how I distort human figures and emphasize clothing, color, and pattern as tools of expression.

neuwegknit
About neuwegknit:
Neuwegknit is a brand with Belarusian soul, created by a mother and daughter: a fashion designer and a knitter with 40 years of experience.
Working in fashion mass production and fast-changing trends taught us that we want to take a different path—one of slow fashion and uniqueness. We celebrate local craftsmanship, transparency, and timeless design.
Our pieces speak to those who appreciate handcrafted work, one-of-a-kind knitwear, and quality over quantity.
We are a small, independent team of just 2, creating each piece with care and intention. Our work is not about mass production but about meaningful, handcrafted pieces made to be treasured.
